Welcome to Old Naples

A popular destination for fishing and spotting dolphins, home to sugary sand beaches along the Gulf.

The historic neighborhoods of Old Naples are dotted with quaint beach cottages, regal mansions, coconut palms, and banyan trees. Meanwhile, the more recent attractions (think upscale dining and shopping spots) ensure just the right mix of historic charm and modern convenience. Old Naples offers a variety of residential real estate options, from sleek condos to charming cottages. Thanks to its laid-back atmosphere and waterfront location, Old Naples has become one of the fastest-growing neighborhoods in Naples in recent years. If you’re hoping to settle down in a historic waterfront enclave with plenty of local attractions, Old Naples might just be the place for you.

What to Love

  • Relaxed community with a lot of character
  • A mix of beach and downtown life
  • Charming homes and stunning mansions

Local Lifestyle

Residents spend much of their time soaking up the sunshine, from sunbathing at Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park to window shopping at boutique downtown establishments. Old Naples is a highly walkable area, so locals often meander to the local farmers' market for locally grown produce, flowers, and handmade soaps. Old Naples also has the largest number of art galleries in Southwest Florida, which means it’s a great destination for those who have an eye for the finer things in life.

Every avenue gives way to beach access, so visitors and residents alike can often be found gathering near to watch the spectacular sunsets light up the sky. Since Old Naples does not have much of a nightlife scene, it’s a great option for those who prefer a more low-key lifestyle.

Dining, Shopping, and Entertainment

For some of the best Mediterranean food in town, head to Del Mar Restaurant for a rotating seasonal menu that centers around fresh seafood, fresh cheeses, and a global wine list. If you’re dreaming of a European-style meal in a breezy setting, make a reservation at Sails Restaurant. From handmade pastas and Kobe beef to seafood towers and handcrafted cocktails, every item on the menu is designed to temporarily transport diners to Europe. If you’re in the mood for authentic Italian cuisine, head over to Molto Trattoria, where you can sample Neapolitan pizzas and housemade pastas in a simple, cozy setting. Should you find yourself in a mood to shop til you drop afterward, Old Naples has over 100 shops and boutiques that are sure to delight.

Things to Do

Automobile aficionados will want to mark their calendars for February 2023, when the 19th annual Cars on Fifth Concours will bring over 700 sports cars to town. Over 200 of the cars will be sold to raise money for local charities and nonprofits. (In 2022, Cars on Fifth had a record-breaking year and raised over $1 million to benefit St. Matthew’s House, a non-profit that provides housing and assistance for those experiencing homelessness.)

For year-round fun, residents can head to Norris Center, the local community center which offers cultural and recreational classes ranging from watercolor painting to adult language and acting extracurriculars.
